About Kostis Kolokotas

The late Kostis Kolotas was involved in theater as a scholar, writer, and translator. His translations were presented by THOK, the National Theatre of Greece, the State Theatre of Northern Greece, the New Theatre of Thessaloniki, ETHAL, and others in Cyprus and Greece, as well as by RIK and ERT. Many of his translations were presented at the Epidaurus Festival of Ancient Drama and elsewhere.
He participated as a speaker in local and international theater conferences, published articles in newspapers and magazines mainly on Ancient Greek Drama, and taught History of Ancient Greek Theater and Dramaturgy in theater workshops and Drama Schools in Cyprus and Greece.
He was a Member and President of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Theatre Organization, a member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation, and one of the pioneers in the creation of the Limassol Theatre Development Company, the city's theater.
