Avaton Music Festival
Jeunesses Musical Cyprus (Cyprus Youth Music) presented the First International Festival of Contemporary Music in Limassol, AVATON, on December 12 and 13, 2009, at ETHAL’s Technohoros.
Under the artistic direction of Anita Tomasevich, the festival offered participants lectures, workshops, and concerts.
The aim of the festival was to bridge the academic and artistic approaches in an effort to understand the classical music of the 20th and 21st centuries, while also presenting to the audience the diverse phases that characterize 21st-century music.
